The short answer
Use one of the two official pages:
- Sovereign Tower on Steam for the full game, Steam Demo, Windows / Linux builds, Steam Cloud, and Steam Deck status.
- Wild Wits' official itch.io page for the developer-published itch.io release and Demo information.
As checked on August 12, 2026, Steam lists Windows and SteamOS + Linux requirements and marks the game Steam Deck Verified. It does not list a macOS build or PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch releases.
Current platform status
| Platform | Status on official pages |
|---|---|
| Windows PC | Released on Steam; requirements published |
| SteamOS / Linux | Released on Steam; requirements published |
| Steam Deck | Steam Deck Verified |
| macOS | No macOS build or requirements currently listed |
| PlayStation 5 / PlayStation 4 | No official release currently listed |
| Xbox Series / Xbox One | No official release currently listed |
| Nintendo Switch | No official release currently listed |
| Demo | Available through official Steam and itch.io pages |
“Not currently listed” is intentionally time-bound. It means the reviewed official storefronts do not offer that version now, not that a platform can never be announced later.
Step by step
1. Choose an official store
Open Steam or the developer's itch.io page from the links above. Check that the publisher / developer context is Wild Wits and that the game title is exactly Sovereign Tower.
Do not use pages offering a crack, Torrent, repack, unofficial launcher, or “free full version.” They are not needed to access the legitimate Demo and can expose players to modified files or credential theft.
2. Try the Demo if you are unsure
The Demo is the direct way to test performance, interface scaling, and whether the Round Table decision loop suits you. A Demo save may not behave exactly like the full release after patches, so read the store's current migration notes rather than assuming all progress will transfer.
3. Check the operating system and storage
The official Steam requirements list 3 GB available storage for both minimum and recommended Windows configurations. Confirm the operating system and graphics hardware before downloading.
4. Install controller support through Steam
Steam lists full controller support and identifies Xbox and PlayStation controllers. If a controller is detected inconsistently, test the Steam Input configuration for the PC build; do not search for a nonexistent console download.
Official Windows requirements
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 | Windows 11 |
| Processor | Intel Core i5-4670K | Intel Core i5-9600K |
| Memory | 4 GB RAM | 8 GB RAM |
| Graphics | NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030, 2 GB | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, 6 GB |
| DirectX | Version 12 | Version 12 |
| Storage | 3 GB available | 3 GB available |
Requirements can change after patches. The Steam table is the authoritative live check before purchase or installation.
SteamOS and Linux
Steam publishes a separate SteamOS + Linux requirements section and labels the game Steam Deck Verified. That supports a native official route for Linux-family devices through Steam.
Steam Deck Verified is the clearest current handheld status. It should not be generalized to Nintendo Switch or every third-party Linux handheld without checking the device's Steam compatibility.
Is Sovereign Tower on Mac?
No official macOS build or macOS system-requirements tab was listed on Steam when this page was checked. A Windows executable from an unofficial download is not a Mac version, and this guide does not recommend compatibility workarounds as though they were supported releases.
If a Mac version is announced later, the official Steam or itch.io page should show it. Until then, “no current official macOS listing” is the accurate answer.
Price and languages
The Steam page displayed a $19.99 US base price when checked on August 12, 2026. Regional prices and launch discounts change, so use the live official store rather than treating that number as a permanent sale price.
Steam lists interface and subtitle support for English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese. Language availability does not imply that each language has a separate platform build.
Common mistakes
- Treating PlayStation controller support as proof of a PS5 version.
- Downloading an unofficial “Mac build” because Steam has no macOS listing.
- Paying for the full game only to test compatibility instead of trying the official Demo.
- Trusting a permanent price copied during a time-limited sale.
- Downloading a crack, repack, or third-party launcher for a game with official storefronts.
- Assuming Steam Deck Verified guarantees every Linux handheld configuration.
Evidence limits
This page was checked on August 12, 2026 for Sovereign Tower 1.0.8. Platform status, requirements, controller support, languages, price, and Steam Deck verification come from the official Steam page; itch.io availability comes from Wild Wits' official page. Store facts can change, so absence is phrased as current status rather than a permanent developer promise.
