The short answer
Dulahan's recruitment requires Goberto to die. After that event, continue through later cycles and watch for Dulahan's visit to the Round Table. Once recruited, the Almor political-prisoner task splits his transformation:
| Almor assignment | Direction | Final goal |
|---|---|---|
| Send Dulahan to the political-prisoner fight | Human Body path | Satisfy his request through the body solution |
| Send another knight | Obtain the helmet-related prerequisite | Continue Dulahan's personal task toward the New/Cursed Helmet result |
Step by step
1. Resolve Goberto's story with his death
Independent recruitment guides agree that Dulahan does not enter the candidate chain while Goberto remains alive. His death is the prerequisite that allows Dulahan to appear.
This is a real narrative cost, not a harmless roster toggle. If you want to preserve Goberto in the current timeline, do not start this route yet. Use a later rewind or alternate timeline for Dulahan.
2. Advance until Dulahan visits
Continue resolving cycles after Goberto's death and watch the audience queue. A data-oriented source places the visit at roughly two cycles later, while the broader recruitment guide only commits to a later visit and says it can occur across Acts.
Because the exact wait is not independently confirmed, allow several later cycles rather than abandoning the route the moment two have passed. Make sure there is roster capacity when the candidacy appears.
3. Recruit Dulahan before the Almor decision
Accept Dulahan into the Round Table. His transformation choice is a later layer; first you need him as a knight and must progress to the relevant Almor political-prisoner situation.
Human Body route
- Reach the Almor task involving a political prisoner fighting.
- Assign Dulahan himself.
- Complete the resulting special branch.
- Follow the audience that resolves his request through a human body.
Steam's official Ethically Questionable achievement describes finding a way to meet Dulahan's requirements. The precise story sequence comes from the two direct recruitment and transformation guides.
New Helmet route
- At the Almor political-prisoner task, assign a knight other than Dulahan.
- Resolve the result that provides the helmet-related prerequisite.
- Continue until Dulahan's personal task becomes available.
- Complete that personal chain to reach the New/Cursed Helmet transformation.
Steam officially lists He Seems Fine for giving Dulahan a new helmet. Public guides sometimes shorten the whole route to “get the helmet” and sometimes describe the later transformation. Those statements refer to different stages, which is why this page keeps the prerequisite and final result separate.
Can you keep both transformations?
Not as simultaneous final states for one Dulahan. The deployment at the political-prisoner task directs the chain one way or the other. Rewind to a cycle before that assignment to collect the alternative outcome.
Rewinding also recalculates downstream audiences and character states. If you go back before Goberto's death, Dulahan may no longer be present at all. Choose the latest possible cycle that still precedes the Almor assignment.
What this guide does not rank
Some public data pages provide exact attribute changes for both transformations. Those numbers depend heavily on a single extraction and have not been independently verified for the current patch. Version 1.0.8 also made broad quest-scoring adjustments.
Choose based on the transformation, achievement, and story outcome—not an unverified “best stats” table. This guide will add numbers only when the current interface or another direct source confirms them.
Common mistakes
- Waiting for Dulahan while Goberto is still alive.
- Giving up exactly two cycles after the death even if audience timing has shifted.
- Sending Dulahan on the Almor task while trying to preserve the helmet route.
- Treating possession of a helmet item as the completed transformation.
- Rewinding before Goberto's death and expecting Dulahan to remain recruited.
- Following precise attribute deltas that are not cross-checked for 1.0.8.
Evidence limits
This guide was checked on August 11, 2026 for Sovereign Tower 1.0.8. Goberto's death prerequisite and the Almor dispatch split are supported by two direct guides. Steam confirms the two achievement outcomes. The precise delay before Dulahan visits and the exact attribute deltas remain intentionally non-numeric.
